Our goal in producing this seventh edition of Electrophysiologic Testing is the same as it has been from the beginning – to demystify the field of cardiac electrophysiology for the nonelectrophysiologist. This book is meant for students, residents, cardiology fellows (or even cardiologists!), primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurses, technicians, and anyone else who needs a basic and relatively quick understanding of electrophysiology and cardiac arrhythmias. As always, we have aimed to explain, as clearly and simply as possible, the key concepts of the mechanisms, evaluation, and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, as elucidated in the electrophysiology laboratory.
